Men, Women & Other - Lessons from the Tower of Babel

Some thousands of years ago, all the people decided it would be a good idea to try to build up a tower to heaven. The reason for this incredibly bold undertaking, according to word on the street, was to climb up to the City of Enoch which was hovering in the sky. But, let's read what is written:
Genesis 11:4-9 ESV
4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.”
5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built.
6 And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.
7 Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another's speech.”
8 So the Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city.
9 Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth. And from there the Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth.
The more part of the people today are not building up a tower made of brick and mortar. They are building up a philosophy that is having a pernicious effect on the minds of the people. It is the absolute refusal to be categorized as a man or a woman, in spite of the science. More importantly, the masses refuse to accept God's word on the matter, that there is "Man" and there is "Woman." That's it.
And like those builders of ancient Babel, these new craftsmen and women, have certainly "made a name for themselves." It is of great worth to ponder the lessons of these ancients, for it does not work out well for folks who are determined to poke the eye of that God in heaven, who watches over all with loving kindness. He has the ability to pour out wrath, when the cup of iniquity is filled.
